Reflection

The blog was useful for freewriting and brainstorming for papers. It was also useful to read the comments when I got them and to read other students' blogs to get different perspectives on topics. I think normally a lot of students aren't heard in classes because they are too shy to speak up in class, but using the blogs allowed for everyone to be heard. This allowed for more participation from everyone and a greater ability to learn. Blogging is a good way to get things off your chest if you feel the need to do so. It might be a healthy thing for some people to have to write in everyday and could be a good form of entertainment for others. I know personally I have always read Gilbert Arenas' blog because it interests me and lets you into aspects of his life that you don't get from the news or Sportscenter. Using the mid-term evaluations I took the professor's advice and tried to use more descriptive words that said exactly how I felt, using more "show" words. I also tried to pose more questions, especially for the last paper in order to get more response from classmates. Blogging just seemed to be much more convenient than printing off all of the assignments and bringing them in to be graded. Doing it that way wouldn't allow us to see each others opinions on everything.
